The 2011 Health Equity Summit, "The Affordable Care Act and Beyond: Opportunities for Achieving Health Equity” brought together over 300 community leaders, policymakers, health experts, advocates, and funders to examine the roots causes of and solutions to health disparities. The summit provided an opportunity for participants and policy makers at the local, state, and national levels to learn about promising practices to reduce health disparities and discuss policy solutions to advance health equity across racial communities.
