ANOTHER PASTOR LEAVING CITY ISLAND

Submitted by ub on

For the second month in a row, another religious pastor has announced her departure from City Island. This time it's Mother Patty from Grace Episcopal Church at 104 City Island Avenue. Mother Patty tells City Island Images that her last service will be on July 31 and she will then go on vacation.

Mother Patty has accepted an offer at St. Andrew's Episcopal School, which is located at 8804 Postoak Road Potomac, MD 20854-3553 (301) 983-5200. She will serve as the new pastor at the K-12 religious school, as well as teach academic courses.

Consistent with the Episcopal school, St. Andrews School is committed to a diverse and inclusive community with respect to race, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, family status, economic circumstance, age, and physical disability in its student body, faculty and staff. St. Andrews does not discriminate in the administration of admission, financial aid or loan practices, educational or other school-sponsored programs and activities, or in the hiring or terms of employment of faculty and staff, except that the Chaplain, in this case Mother Patty, shall be a member of the clergy of the Episcopal Church.

Mother Patty says she will be commuting back and forth from Maryland to our area. She lives in Pelham, NY with her husband, who is a pastor there. Please, feel free to contact Mother Patty to tell her that it is with much sadness that parishioners and City Island residents say... Vaya con Dios, Madre Patty.
