On Tuesday, May 15th, the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation will host a Business Breakfast at Tosca Marquee as one of many Bronx Week activities taking place during May 10 – 20th. Author, turnaround specialist and serial entrepreneur Amilya Antonetti will address the audience of nearly 300 small businesses covering key issues relevant to growth and development.

The award-winning Antonetti has built several multimillion dollar companies and has authored two books which include “Why David Hated Tuesdays: One Courageous Mother's Guide to Keeping Your Family Toxin and Allergy Free” and “The Recipe: A Fable for Leaders and Teams.” She appears weekly on Fox News as “The Small Business Voice” and is as an expert on WPIX mornings and the Dr. Steve Show. Antonetti’s story was featured on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show as well as NBC, CNBC, ABC, and MSNBC to name a few.

“Her story is inspiring and her business acumen is bar none,” stated BOEDC President Marlene Cintron, who added “having her here is truly a gift to the Bronx.”
“I look forward to introducing Ms. Antonetti to our burgeoning Business community,” stated Borough President Ruben Díaz Jr. “Her reputation as one of the pioneers of the ‘human and earth-friendly’ movement and a champion to bring ‘Green’ to the mainstream further accentuates our mission to create an eco-conscious environment in the Bronx,” he added.

The Bronx, which boasts the most “Green Roofs” of all the boroughs, is unveiling the first community-centered solar energy pilot program in the Parkchester section as one of Bronx Week’s events.

Led by the Office of the Borough President and produced by the Bronx Tourism Council, Bronx Week brings together more than 100 events throughout the borough.
