CARRION RUNS FOR NYC MAYOR

Submitted by ub on

A couple of hundred of Adolfo Carrión, Jr. closest friends and political supporters gathered at Bronx Museum tonight as he formally launched his campaign for Mayor of the City of New York, representing the independent party.

Carrion will now compete against whoever the Democrats and Republicans choose for their nominees. Not too long ago, Mr. Carrion switched his party affiliation from Democrat to independent, thus making him the anti Bloomberg.

However, Adolfo Carrion has deep roots in Democratic politics. As a NYC planner, a council member for the 14th district, then a two term Bronx President and after that, Mr. Carrion left for Washington, DC and became Obama's White House director of urban affairs. Then took a position as regional director of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He now wants to be mayor for all races and all colors.

There were three generations of the Carrion family present. His dad led prayers, later his daughter Rocky made the formal introductions. Adolfo Carrion came out and half jokingly said he was there to campaign for his daughter, a future woman president of the united states.

Adolfo Carrion will probably have a couple of strong candidates, so it is high time to get serious here and begin gathering support at home and all over the five NYC boroughs.
People from all over the city, as well as representatives of every race and religion were also there. City Island, the place Carrion calls home was also well represented, as members of the color guard participated with flags.
