CELEBRATE FATHERS DAY

Submitted by ub on

When it comes to equal days of honor, have you ever wondered why dads get funny ties and moms get diamond-heart necklaces and why folks spend 40% more on Mother’s Day than Father’s Day?

Never mind the statistics, just come out and celebrate by taking Dad out to America's favorite past time. Baseball, 1864 Style.

Watch The New York Mutuals in Period Baseball Game for Father's Day on Sunday, June 16, 1–3:00 p.m.

Celebrate Dad with a Father’s Day “base ball match.” The New York Mutuals play with 1864 rules, balls, bats, and uniforms—but no helmets or gloves! After the game, kids get to join in the fun with a game of rounders with team members. Dad can also enjoy a free tour of the Mansion, a look at the historic Pell treaty on view in the Museum…and a raffle for the game ball!

Registration requested. Cost $10 adults, $8 seniors, $5 children 6–17; members $8 adults, $6 seniors, $3 children 6–17
