Read Aloud Story Time Read aloud picture books: Every Thursday, at 3:30 P.M. Ages 4-10.
Dr. Seuss Rollicking tales The program includes: "Green Eggs and Ham", "The Cat in the Hat", "Horton Hatches An Egg" and "Yertle the Turtle" all brought "to life with props, puppets and lots of audience participation. Presented by award-winning storyteller

Resume Writing Workshop / On-Line Job Search Ongoing Wednesday mornings from 10 A.M.-12:00 noon. Please pre-register. A flash drive to save your work is highly recommended.

Special Event: Sandy Disaster Financial Relief Program: The NYPL is partnering with the N.Y. Chapter of the Financial Planning Association, a professional organization comprised mostly of Certified Financial Planners, lawyers, insurance professionals, and other financial advisers. Its pro bono committee is looking to give back to the community. The FPA frequently holds workshops and seminars to teach the public about finances. All services are FREE of charge and there will be no attempt to sell any products or services. Saturday March 9th at 2:00 P.M.

FILM OF THE MONTH James Bond 007 Skyfall 007 (Daniel Craig) becomes M's only ally as MI6 comes under attack, and a mysterious new villain emerges with a diabolical plan. Special Event:: Ms Gail Hitt Presents: How to Write Your Memoirs. A First for the City Island Library .Memoirs are very popular topics for reading. Just check any biography section in a library or book store and there are always some books on the best seller list. Why not write your own experiences? This creative writing workshop will give you ideas and tools to create a unique memoir of your life, in the form of a lively story. Saturday March 23rd at 2:00 PM.
