CITY ISLAND ROLLS OUT A WARM WELCOME MAT

Submitted by ub on

In yet another City Island Images news exclusive that you may not read in other local news-outlets until September, The City Island Chamber of Commerce today put it's best foot forward to roll out the red carpet and the welcome mat, by sponsoring an extremely special concierge and tour operator day.

Chamber officials organized a grand tour of City Island and and the surrounding areas by escorting Manhattan guests to Pelham Split Rock Golf Course, Bartow Pell Mansion, Orchard Beach, City Island Avenue, including The Nautical Museum, as well as many other City Island Chamber member businesses.

These guests happily enjoyed a light delicious lunch with salad, New England clam chowder, freshly made crab-cakes at one of Sammy's waterfront restaurants. The groups then toured City Island by trolley and later met up for mussels and wine at Bistro SK, which made some feel like they were in a little Paris eatery. This was followed by a beautiful boat ride up and down the coast aboard one of the Island Current fleet of boats. This dynamic day long event was capped off by a grand reception at 1876 Pell House, which was hosted by the delightfully charming owner and operator Michelle French.

This was an extra exceptional networking opportunity exclusively available to all area tour operators, press representatives, which included Manhattan Media, The Wall Street Journal and City Island Images.
