Cold, slippery with snow, rain, sleet...etc

Widespread heavy rain is expected to continue across much of the West Coast this weekend. The heaviest rainfall will occur across northern California and southern Oregon, where as much as 6-10 inches of rainfall is forecast over the next two days. While beneficial for this drought-stricken region, the heavy rainfall also poses a threat for flash flooding.

The NYC area should prepare for hazardous weather with slushy days ahead as snow, sleet and rain is expected to continue falling through Monday.

The greatest potential for slippery travel will be Sunday and Monday night, with 4 inches of the powdery stuff. As much as 8 inches of snow could fall, but it will bring warm temperatures with a mix of rain and sleet.
