DACA Lacks Facts

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) is an administrative relief from deportation. The purpose is to protect eligible immigrant youth who came to the US when they were children from deportation. DACA gives young undocumented immigrants protection from deportation and a work permit. The program expires after two years, subject to renewal.

There is a lack of positive news for the Trump administration on DACA. US District Judge John Bates, who happens to be an influential Republican appointee in Washington, DC is said to order the Trump administration to rescind its order ending DACA, a ruling that would reinstate the program in its entirety pending resolution of the case. https://www.washingtonpost.com/?utm_term=.b4bcb2eba833
