In the 1960s, legendary magazine editor Harold Hayes brought about a literary revolution in journalism, during his tenure at Esquire Magazine. Tom Hayes, son of Harold, screens his new documentary featuring many of his father's colleagues from the era, including Tom Wolfe, Gay Talese, Nora Ephron, Peter Bogdanovich and Gore Vidal, and explores how his father's editorial genius defined the turbulent culture, providing a vivid rebirth of American aesthetics.

Join us for a sneak preview of Smiling Through the Apocalypse: Esquire in the '60s, followed by a Q&A with New York luminaries Gay Talese, Tom Hedley, Jr., George Lois and director Tom Hayes.

Presented with NYIT Auditorium on Broadway
