Congressional Delegation to Meet with Local Faith Leaders, Immigrant Groups: House Majority Leader Eric Cantor to Share Family’s Immigrant Journey

As part of the first-ever Faith & Politics Institute (FPI) Becoming America Congressional Pilgrimage to New York City, a bipartisan delegation of more than 70 political, religious, community and business leaders from around the country will visit the Jewish Center of Jackson Heights to meet with various local faith leaders and immigrant community based organizations to discuss the immigrant experience. Honorary Pilgrimage Co-Leaders U.S. Representatives Joe Crowley (D-NY) and Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) will be joined by over a dozen of their colleagues, including House Majority Leader Eric Cantor who will share his family’s immigrant story.

THE FAITH & POLITICS INSTITUTE: The Faith & Politics Institute, as it has for more than twenty years, works with Members of Congress and staff to bridge divides in our democracy, strengthening America’s leadership and making a positive impact in Washington, D.C. and beyond. We are nonpartisan, multifaith, and motivated by the challenge to rise above narrow partisanship by responding to the quiet call of conscience, courage, and compassion.
