Help bury Wayne Cochrane

Submitted by Admin on

If you are a City Islander, you probably ran across Wayne Cochrane. He was one of our elderly neighbor and a friend. Yo may recall that he enjoyed visiting the Post Office.

He passed away 2/19/2013. At this time his body still lies in the morgue. His friends are taking care of the cat who gave him so much pleasure. Unfortunately, his tiny house caught fire on 12/6/12 and he received second degree burns. Wayne was in the hospital and then rehab. We took him to his various doctor appointments, did shopping for him took care of his basic needs as best we could.

When he recovered friends found him a temporary apartment until they could figure out home repair options. They kept him fed and clothed but all funds were depleted. Sadly, during this time at this new apartment, he suffered a heart attack and passed away.

While he has a grave and marker in Ogden City Cemetery, Utah, , we live in New York (In zone "A" an evacuation zone severely hit by hurricane "Sandy", living on an island our damage was substantial and we are all still rebuilding.)Wayne's last wishes were to be buried with his parents in a family plot in Ogden City . We have no funds to bury him. He has no known family. As stated before, he has the plot, marker with his name.
What is needed is a cremation and shipment of ashes to be interred in his final resting place. Thank you in advance and God Bless you all .

Even if you are unable to donate , please say a prayer for Wayne's soul.
