The Huntington Free Library and Reading Room is pleased to announce The East Bronx History Forum will hold its last meeting of the year on Wednesday, 7:30pm December 18th 2013.

The East Bronx History Forum meets to discuss Bronx History and held its first meeting on June 16, 2005. December will be the Forum’s 86th meeting. All meetings are free and open to the public at The Huntington Free Library and Reading Room, located at 9 Westchester Square, Bronx, NY.

The meeting will host Bronx authors that have published books about Bronx history, Bronx biographies or a novel with a Bronx setting. We may have special number one Bronx author Bill Twomey speak about " Northwest Bronx " if favorable conditions allow. The other guest authors are as follows:

Nan Clark is an educator chosen in 2010 as one of the first “25 Bronx Influential Women, who wrote ”The Promise”. The Promise tells the inspirational story of Beatrice Castiglia-Catullo and her life-changing vow to help people in the Bronx in need.

Tom Casey, author and Bronx history collector will present his postcard book “Bronx Views”

Peter Ostrander, president of the Kings Bridge Historical Society will present the “America's Debt to John Peter Tetard, 1722-1787” by former Bronx County Historian, Rev. Dr. William A. Tieck.

All books will be available for sale and signing at special discount prices for those attending.
