The Second Amendment provides US citizens the right to bear arms. Ratified in December 1791, the amendment says: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
The 2nd Amendment right is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever.
