An armed 20 year old male who managed to spread terror inside NJ largest mall is dead this morning from what appears to be a self inflicted gunshot wound, following a massive lock down.

The Paramus Mall remains closed as a result of the police investigation. Several shots were fired in Garden State Plaza, trapping shoppers and employees as police searched for the gunman, the suspect has been identified as Richard R. Shoop, 20, of Teaneck.

He apparently shot himself inside the mall early Tuesday morning, according to public safety officials who say he was found dead inside a construction zone within the mall.
