Newsweek Going Digital

After 80 years of publications, the magazine has announced that they will begin publishing online starting in 2013.

This national weekly magazine for decades was best known for summarizing the news for households across the United States, however most recently it struggled to maintain relevance in the Internet era.

The magazine announced says that it would cease print publication at the end of the year. The all-digital version of the new and improved version will be called Newsweek Global and is expected to operate on a paid subscription model.

As a young man Newsweek magazine and The Washington Post were personal news media inspirations, which moved me to invest my hard earned money in it's previously undervalued stock. The value continued to increase and split several times what I paid for it.
