City Island Senior Center gets a new van

Pilot Cove's senior citizen is on the go more than ever...and Vacca wanted to give them a way to get there! He recently joined seniors and staff from the City Island Senior Center to dedicate a new van which was purchased by the center with the help of $42,000 in City Council capital funds which he allocated. The new van will be used to enhance a variety of programs for local residents offered by the senior center, in addition to creating new opportunities for additional programming. The elderly and the disabled should have the same access to services and recreation as anyone else. This new van for the seniors of City Island is just the latest vehicle he has funded at local senior centers in order to get them where they want to go that much easier.
