Orchard Beach Celebration

Submitted by ub on

Katelyn Toro and her pooch were just two of thousands of participants, who gathered at Orchard Beach this morning as a benefit celebration to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

It was virtually a sea of pink as the group walked walked across the beach to celebrate life after breast cancer. There was dancing, music, along with a 5K walk.

At NBCF they are dedicated to providing help for today and hope for tomorrow. Their free mammograms for women in need promote early breast cancer detection, while educational programs provide answers to anyone whose life is touched by breast disease. You can also make a difference through individual breast cancer donations, corporate sponsorships, fund-raising for breast cancer, or volunteering for breast cancer. Every effort counts!

Officials from the American Cancer Society estimate that more than 230,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone.
