THE PICTURE HOUSE

In celebration of Columbus Day week, the 11th Annual Westchester Italian Film Festival begins on Friday at The Pelham Picture House. Five films will be shown during the festival, including Weddings and Other Disasters, Corpo Celeste, Happy Family, 20 Cigarettes and Love & Slaps. The festival will run through Monday, Oct. 17.

A festival pass is $40 to the general public and $30 for Picture House members. Individual tickets are $9 for general admission, $8 for seniors/students/children and $6 for members.

Concerned citizens in lower Westchester organized to save the 1920s Pelham Picture House, now listed on the NY State Register of Historic Places, from the wrecking ball. The Picture House, recently restored and renovated, is now an independent film and education center. The Picture House entertains audiences with great movies – indies, foreign films, classics, shorts, animated films and documentaries from around the world. By inviting, actors, directors, producers, screen writers, and film critics to discuss their work, we bring the back lot to our front door.
