Probing, Investigating and Digging

Do you remember the story of the boy who cried wolf? PLEASE... Don't listen, or pay attention to distractions and comments aimed at taking the focus away from an increasing investigation, which like that of a previous president, who ultimately resigned was bent on lies and media accusations of fake news. Journalism and the free press are one of the foundations of our democracy.

Enter the SWAN. Robert Swan Mueller III was the sixth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He was appointed to head a special investigation after POTUS fired the former FBI Director. As Mueller continues his probe to gather all the facts and get to the bottom of a complicated web known as The Russian investigation.

While some claim that Mueller is moving too slow, complaining this investigation is taking forever. White House Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders spoke out saying that, “the president is frustrated by the continued witch hunt of the Russia investigation and he’d love for this to come to a full conclusion so that everyone can focus fully on the thing that he was elected to do.” Mueller is a highly methodical investigator systematically gathering strings on multiple broad areas simultaneously: Trump-Russia collusion, The Trump Organization's business dealings, possible misconduct in the Trump campaign, and last but not least, obstruction of justice. He needs to hurry this thing along. Does Trump want to be cleared without the fuss of an investigation?

The president says he is innocent and only wishes to spare us all the pain of this drawn-out ordeal. Of course, Trump recently told the New York Times that “I’m not under investigation. For what? I didn’t do anything wrong.” It’s completely reasonable of Trump to be frustrated that this investigation which doesn’t exist is taking so long and that Mueller is being too thorough.

Others say Mueller is moving way too fast. Slow down, Bobby. The New York Times reported that “The moves against Mr. Manafort are just a glimpse of the aggressive tactics used by Mr. Mueller and his team of prosecutors” and their “shock-and-awe tactics.” When Mueller isn’t moving at a glacial pace, he’s being unprecedentedly aggressive.
