UNIVISION SENIOR ANCHORMAN, SENOR PINEDA

Submitted by ub on

For 40 + years, RAFAEL PINEDA has been NYC's most popular evening news anchor. He has and continues to appear on Univision’s TV 41, WXTV, Paterson. Senor Pineda started at Spanish-language broadcaster back in 1968, the same year the station signed on. He is the oldest and longest tenured anchor in New York City history.

R. Pineda says he woke up to the dramatic first reports of the attack on the World Trade Center.
He says he was sleeping, when his wife took their kids to school. She started watching TV and all of a sudden she woke him up to tell his that a plane had just crashed into one of the twin towers.

He says he jumped out of bed to get ready for work, while he watched the TV coverage. The rest is history....etc.
