NYC area residents have enjoyed a gorgeous weekend, and a marvelous Monday. All that is about to change very soon: Tonigh a chance of showers, mainly after 3am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 51. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

TUESDAY Showers, mainly before noon. High near 60. West wind around 6 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO SLIDE EAST OF THE REGION TODAY. EXPECT MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. THE WIND DIRECTION WILL BE MORE FROM THE SOUTH...AS A RESULT OF THE HIGH MOVING FURTHER OFFSHORE. THE SUNSHINE AND WIND DIRECTION WILL HELP USHER THE TEMPERATURES ABOVE
AVERAGE...MAINLY FROM NEW YORK CITY NORTH AND WEST. READINGS ARE EXPECTED TO REACH THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 60'S ACROSS THE INTERIOR. IT SHOULD BE COOLER NEAR THE SOUTH FACING COASTLINES.

A COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH THE REGION TONIGHT AND MOVE ACROSS THE AREA TUESDAY MORNING. THIS WILL BRING THE NEXT CHANCE OF RAIN. THE FRONT WILL MOVE EAST OF THE REGION TUESDAY AFTERNOON...WITH A RETURN TO SUNNY SKIES LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON.
