* WINDS...NORTHEAST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH. GUSTS AS
HIGH AS 50 MPH AT THE IMMEDIATE COAST AND THE LARGE BRIDGES
AROUND NEW YORK CITY.

* TIMING...STRONGEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED IN THE MORNING INTO THE
EARLY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...LOCALIZED POWER OUTAGES FROM DOWNED TREE LIMBS ARE
POSSIBLE...POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO HOLIDAY DECORATIONS.

A WIND ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN SUSTAINED WINDS OF 31 TO 39 MPH...
OR GUSTS OF 46 TO 57 MPH...ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. WINDS THIS
STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE
VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.

A SLOW MOVING COASTAL LOW WILL PARALLEL THE EASTERN SEABOARD ON TUESDAY...PASSING ACROSS LONG ISLAND IN THE EVENING. HEAVY RAINFALL WILL SPREAD INTO THE REGION EARLY TUESDAY MORNING AND PERSIST THROUGH MOST OF THE DAY.

* RAIN WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES WITH 2 TO 3 INCHES POSSIBLE BY THE
TIME THE EVENT ENDS TUESDAY NIGHT. LOCALIZED HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE
POSSIBLE. THE MAIN IMPACT WILL BE URBAN AND POOR DRAINAGE
FLOODING...BUT SOME SMALL RIVERS AND STREAM ACROSS NORTHEAST NEW
JERSEY AND THE LOWER HUDSON VALLEY MAY REACH OR EXCEED BANKFULL.
