ABOUT THE WOMEN:

Toby Liederman: Director of Women’s HERstory Association, artist, peace activist, one of the Bronx’s most influential women in 2012. Founder of the Anne Hutchinson Society, Co-founder of Hutchinson River Restoration. Maria Meli: Develops, supervises arts/education/recreation programs for seniors, women, teen’s families at risk. BS Therapeutic Recreation, Master of Social Work. Certified: Stress Management, Cardiac Rehab, Effort Shape Theory, Hatha / Pranayama Yoga. Lucille Rivin: Musician, songwriter, actor, director, playwright, producer. She has appeared off Broadway, Independent Films, and TV. Her favorite role is “Lula” in Amiri Baraka’s “Dutchman”. She is a private acting coach and Arts Educator.
Rebecca Hoodwin: Began her professional career at 21, acting singing on and off Broadway in movies and TV, playing roles from a “mom” to a “fading stripper”. One of her favorite roles includes the title role in “Driving Miss Daisy” at the Ivoryton Playhouse.
Dr. Jennifer Halstead-Kenny: Attending Physiatrist at Montefiore Hospital, Assistant Professor, Einstein College. She incorporates acupuncture into services that focus on women’s rehabilitative needs and to complement other physical and medical modalities.
Police Officer Evette Vargas: Works at the 45th precinct in the Domestic Violence Unit.
Kathanna Knapp: Master energy healer, medical intuitive and metaphysical teacher.
Tiffany Cruz: Political activist, BS Application Psychology/Women’s Studies, member of Women’s Studies Honor Society. Born in Brooklyn, New York.
Terysa Fenty: Videographer/photographer, specialist; families/special events.
Carole Avitable: Interior Designer of home/ office/ corporation environments, volunteers at Hudson Valley Historical Homes.
