Our purpose is what happens to others when we do what we do. These are aim, design, endgame, goal, good intentions, and objectives. While all these words mean "what one accomplishes or attains," purpose suggests a more settled determination.
Do we love what we do to others when we do what we like to do? That is the real meaning of our purpose for being who we have become.

A major winter storm is intensifying across the Tri-State area, with heavy snow dumping a few inches per hour across the NYC area,
New York City schools are closed today, including the university where I teach 50 students in The Bronx.
Due to anticipated inclement weather conditions, all in-person classes and activities are canceled for Tuesday, February 13, 2024. In-person instructors will notify students about adjusted schedules and course formats. Online classes will meet as scheduled.

I started today with a video Tele-visit with my lovely and talented Gastroenterologist to celebrate Fat Tuesday on this special day.
Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine that focuses on the digestive tract and the gallbladder, liver, bile ducts, and pancreas. A gastroenterologist is a doctor who deals in those fields and is also referred to as a GI specialist or a GI doctor. She suggested I lose weight, or at the very least, try not to add any excess pounds.
