JOLLY GOOD SHOW CHAPS

Submitted by ub on

The Olympics are an extremely special global event, which only occurs every four years.
This time it was The United Kingdom and London's moment to shine worldwide.

Dean Nelson, one of a handful of Brits living on City Island, NY agrees that last night's broadcast on NBC of the opening ceremonies for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games was a truly splendid spectacle.

He told City Island Images the Queen was a good sport for allowing the Olympic program to use her image in a humorous skit and also agreed that Sir Paul McCartney may have be showing his years when he had a senior moment while singing Hey Jude.

Now on to the games. The questions many may be asking is which countries will bring home the most medals. Gold, Silver, or Bronze? But it's not whether you win or lose, but how well you compete.

The only question which has not been definitively answered yet...
Olympic mascot: Is it creepy or cute?
