Join in Shoelace Park and plant trees along the river banks. Gloves and shovels will be provided.

Explore the historic communities of Wakefield, Williamsbridge and Woodlawn on the season's first walking tour. You'll walk along Shoelace Park and hear tales of the old neighborhood, and see a collection of pre-WWII apt buildings.

Amazing Bronx River Flotilla & 5K Canoe Challenge
Starlight Park | 11am-4:30 pm

Come open the paddling season with a modified Flotilla featuring paddling opportunities for every age and skill level. Gather up a fundraising team for the 2nd annual Starlight 5K Canoe Challenge to raise vital funds for Bronx youth and families to enjoy paddling adventures this summer (some paddling experiece necessary). All can come cheer on the racers and enjoy an afternoon of free music, canoe trips, learn-to-ride bicycle clinics, Bronx River Ramble tours, and much more!
