Submitted by ub on

An imperfect storm with heavy rains and massive crosswinds has caused a deep state of confusion for Florida, which has it in its crosshairs after it devastated portions of The Caribbean.

Hurricane Irma has been downgraded to a Category 4 status after the eye of the storm was moving over Cuba's Camaguey Archipelago.

This extremely catastrophic storm is expected to make landfall in Florida tomorrow morning. Most of South Florida is under a hurricane warning, and the governors of four Southeast states have now declared emergencies.

The Florida Keys, Miami Beach, and Fort Lauderdale are among areas under mandatory evacuation orders, with over a half million residents alone under evacuation orders in Miami.

A massive, record-breaking storm like this one could bring a mix of howling winds, torrential rain, surging sea water and believe it or not, a few tornadoes.
