The first Labor Day was celebrated in NYC in 1882. Labor Day Weekend is the official end of summer and is all about honoring the working public, and restaurants are seemingly doing their part by giving their customers some awesome deals. To recognize the 2016 holiday, several restaurant chains nationwide will be giving away free or heavily discounted food to its customers on Monday, Sept. 5. Find out where to visit this Labor Day weekend below!

Some Americans celebrated Labor Day Weekend by working either at their place of business or helping others like my wife and I did. We were not alone.

Nearly half of U.S. workers didn’t take a single vacation day last year, and today 41% of employers will have some staff working. The President is also working and representing our great nation overseas.

Happy Labor Day, USA. Although Americans are reportedly working more they aren’t the world's most overworked. Turkey leads the list, with Mexico trailing closely behind. The U.S. came in at No. 16.
