City Island Fair

In our latest installment of the Friendship Files, #CityImages covers a diverse group of individuals who bond, supporting each other by attending the arts and crafts fair and helping local businesses sell their handicrafts and assorted wares.

Wander around what some are beginning to call - A Slice of NYC Paradise this weekend and you may find folks who traveled near and far to join Mussel Suckers and Clam Diggers enjoying the semi-annual City Island Arts and Crafts Fair.

If Manhattan is The Big Apple, City Island is the Sweet Little Pear. One long-time local Islander met up with friends from Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America who have come to know and appreciate the many City Island Delights.

The event is sponsored by the City Island Chamber of Commerce, which has been supporting this gorgeous nautical enclave for over 100 years. https://cityislandchamber.org/

Saving money is just one of the many reasons anyone would want to attend the 2019 Spring Arts and Crafts Fair, which continues today, where artists showcase their work to visitors and locals alike.

Some ideas for your next adventure may also include a visit to Orchard Beach for Sun, Sunday music concerts, refreshing drinks, and delicious food.

The Spring Arts & Crafts Fair will end today featuring paintings, photography, jewelry, stained glass, native crafts, bath & body products, clothing, baked goods, face painting, fishing supplies, trophies and lots more.

This is the last day to visit the City Island Arts and Crafts Fair where you will come and want to stay.
