LOW PRESSURE BRINGS RAINFALL TO THE ENTIRE AREA TODAY. THE RAIN COULD BE BRIEFLY HEAVY AT TIMES THIS MORNING INTO EARLY AFTERNOON.

IT WILL BE QUITE BREEZY AS WELL...ESPECIALLY NEAR THE COAST. HIGH TEMPERATURES SHOULD BE NEAR NORMAL. SHOWERS ARE THEN EXPECTED TONIGHT...AND EVEN AN ISOLATED RUMBLE OF THUNDER MAY BE HEARD.

THE RAIN SHOULD BE OVER FOR MOST...IF NOT ALL SPOTS BY TUESDAY MORNING. IT MAY START OUT ON THE CLOUDY SIDE...BUT EXPECT PRIMARILY A PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY DAY WITH HIGHS ABOVE NORMAL.

* LOCATIONS...THE COASTLINES ALONG THE WESTERN PORTION OF THE LONG ISLAND SOUND.

* TIDAL DEPARTURES...AROUND 1/2 TO 1 FT ABOVE ASTRONOMICAL TIDES.

* TIMING...AROUND THE TIME OF HIGH TIDE LATE THIS MORNING INTO EARLY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...LOCALIZED FLOODING OF THE MOST VULNERABLE SHORE ROADS AND/OR BASEMENTS.
