Success does not come from practicing discrimination against a group of people, or lying and cheating others out of their hard work. It comes from hard work determination and sacrifice. Same meaning in any language... Successful, exitoso, 成功, ناجح ...etc.
The textbook definition is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. The president has had no success in restoring confidence. The attainment of popularity the success of his play.
Ultimately, leadership is not about glorious crowning acts. It's about keeping your team focused on a goal and motivated to do their best to achieve it, especially when the stakes are high and the consequences really matter.
