Is there a doctor in the house?

The world is facing an Ebola epidemic and the people of the US are searching for answers from their Surgeon General.

Where is he and what is his name? Next moth is the one year anniversary of President Obama appointing Dr. Vivek Murthy as US Surgeon General. He had his Senate a confirmation hearing in February, but what has happened since then? Nothing, nada darn thing, folks. It's a damn shame.

Washington DC is full of political foot dragging and childish games that ultimately drive bright folks away from public service. The reason is that political infighting has stalled his appointment.

What's the hold up? National Rifle Association lobbyists complained after he called for US government gun restrictions as a way of keeping more Americans healthier.

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence lists the following: http://www.bradycampaign.org/

On average, 32 Americans are murdered with guns every day, and 140 are treated for a gun assault in an emergency room. An average of eight children and teens under the age of 20 are killed by guns every day. The lifetime medical cost for all gun violence victims in the United States is estimated at $2.3 billion, with almost half the costs borne by taxpayers.

Meanwhile, back on Capitol Hill we have have a bunch politicians on both sides of the isle who are more focused on their re-election instead of doing their jobs. For this reason and many others, we urge you to vote and replace these lazy and cowardly so called representatives of US, the great people of The United States of America.
