WEDNESDAY WORDS

Submitted by ub on

I once read an e-mail with these words: “Never Complain, Never Explain.” I thought to myself, I can do that. Day after day I tell myself that this is going to be the last day I'll ever complain about anything—and time after time I continue to fail. Then I realize how hard this seemingly simple task is to achieve.

But unfortunately, it’s in our makeup to complain. It’s part of our nature to make excuses, because doing so gets us off the hook. How many times have you caught yourself, or heard others saying:

I’m angry because of you... She made me depressed... I am divorced and it’s all your fault.
My friend got me in trouble... I lost some money and I blame dad.
I’m fat and it’s my mom's fault...etc.

I realize how much everyone complains. Being aware of this behavior is always a good place to start.

I have decided to walk the walk, talk the talk and practice what I preach. No matter what happens in my life, I'LL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY LIFE AND MY RESULTS.
I also realize that blaming and complaining never produces any results.

Complaining puts all the power out there, which leaves the complainer feeling powerless and acting like a victim. You can bring the power back in when you stop blaming and start taking responsibility for everything that happens in your life.

If you lose your job, take responsibility for it.
If your loved one leaves you, take responsibility for it.
If __whatever occurs___, take responsibility for it.

SO TRY TELLING POP TO PLEASE STOP AND ASK MAMA TO SAVE THAT DRAMA...

Life is for living brilliantly, laughing joyously and enjoying divinely.
