WEEK LONG WAR

Palestinian militants have resumed rocket attacks on Tel Aviv following a 24-hour break in strikes on the Israeli commercial capital.

Meanwhile, Israel continues its air and naval bombardments of the Gaza Strip despite growing international pressure for an immediate ceasefire.

The nation of Israel began attacking militants in the Hamas-controlled Gaza last Tuesday because it had received heavy rocket fire from the densely populated territory. The Israeli military says it has launched more than 1,300 airstrikes since then, while Palestinian militants have launched nearly 1,000 rockets back at Israel.

Hundreds of Palestinians have been reportedly killed, but no Israelis have been killed as a result of Hamas rocket launches, because of Israeli military's 'Iron Dome' air defense system has been intercepting these missiles.
