In partnership with American Italian Cancer Foundation NYC Councilmen Jimmy Vacca is offering a free service tomorrow, Thursday, February 7th at 10:00 A.M.

James Vacca will join representatives of the American Italian Cancer Foundation, as well as constituents, as he once again welcomes the Mammogram Van back to the district.

The van, which is a partnership with the American Italian Cancer Foundation, has visited the district every February for the last six years to offer free mammograms to women of the Bronx over the age of 40.

A $16 billion dollar loss has prompted USPS to announce that it will stop delivering envelopes on August 1, 2013.

The Postal Service will continue to deliver packages six days a week. Their plan is aimed at saving about $2 billion.

Under the new plan, mail would still be delivered to post office boxes on Saturdays. Post offices now open on Saturdays would remain open on Saturdays.

Many party animals who visit New Orleans are no strangers to blackouts, but the cause of that blackout during The Superbowl on Sunday is still a mystery as Monday morning quarterbacking continues and so does the investigation.

Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, Nelson Mandela, Emmett Till... Rosa Louise McCauley Parks was an African-American civil rights activist, whom the U.S. Congress called "the first lady of civil rights", and "the mother of the freedom movement". Celebrate Rosa as she wanted to be remembered. "I would like to be known as a person who is concerned about freedom and equality and justice and prosperity for all people."

Just about everybody knows today's Super Bowl XLVII features coaching brothers Jim and John Harbaugh, but not everyone is aware this game includes son versus father.

23 year old Jay is a coaching intern for Baltimore. He works for his uncle, John, head coach of the Ravens, while his dad coaches SF49ers.
Since there's been other brother vs. brother competitions in history, (more about that later) these Super Bowl teams John Harbaugh in Baltimore and Jim Harbaugh in San Francisco have both arrived at this point with no resemblance.

Gonzales becomes first Hispanic U.S. attorney general. Alberto Gonzales won Senate confirmation as the nation's first Hispanic attorney general despite protests over his record on torture. The Senate approved his nomination on a largely party-line vote of 60-36, reflecting a split between Republicans and Democrats over whether the administration's counter-terrorism policies had led to the abuse of prisoners in Iraq and elsewhere. Shortly after the Senate vote, Vice President Dick Cheney swore in Gonzales as attorney general in a small ceremony in the Roosevelt Room at the White House. President Bush, who was traveling, called to congratulate him.
