Labor Day in the #USA is a public holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September. President Abraham Lincoln once said
about our great nation... "We find ourselves in the peaceful possession of the fairest portion of the earth"

This national holiday honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws, and well-being of this wonderful country.

US Extreme Court

It has been known as the Supreme Court of the United States, which is the highest federal court of the nation. SCOTUS was established pursuant to Article Three of the United States Constitution in 1789, it has ultimate appellate jurisdiction over all federal courts and state court cases, involving issues of federal law plus original jurisdiction over a small range of cases.

However, since Republicans took control of the US government, the court is moving towards an extremely conservative ideology.

As the nation celebrates this national holiday weekend we call Labor Day, we look at who and what is working or not much.

This is a public holiday as well as a day of festivities held in honor of working people. While it is celebrated in the USA and Canada on the first Monday in September, in many other countries around the world, it is celebrated on May 1.

One day, I may even write the book which my loved ones suggest I should, but for now, this blog is sufficient. Nice stories happen to people who tell them. America Bids Farewell To Royalty

America pays its final respect and bids a final farewell to US Royalty. Funeral services take place for The Queen of Soul in Detroit, Michigan and in Washington, DC for a US Patriot, a national hero and the Prince of modern day politics.

The week-long celebrations fo the lives of Aretha Franklin and Us Senator John McCain culminates this weekend with their funeral services.
