Leaves are falling all around
It's time I was on my way
Thanks to you I'm much obliged
For such a pleasant stay
But now it's time for me to go
The autumn moon lights my way
For now, I smell the rain
And with it pain
And it's headed my way

Ah, sometimes I grow so tired
But I know I've got one thing I got to do

Of all of the president's soldiers in his Cabinet, Donald Trump was once the happiest with Attorney General Bill Barr. After all, since he was confirmed back in February 2019, Barr has done Trump's personal bidding at every turn. That was then, this is now. The question reportedly is will Trump bar Barr, or will Barr trump Trump? it ain’t over till the fat guy sings... Listen!

Barr says The US Justice Department found no evidence of voter fraud that would change the election outcome, according to The AP.

This is a handwritten note made by civil rights icon Rosa Parks. She refused to surrender her seat on a public bus.

It was in Montgomery, Alabama, sixty-five years ago this day.

"I had been pushed around all my life and... couldn't take it anymore"

The new exhibition, "Rosa Parks: In Her Own Words," reveals this iconic figure's lifetime of activism through her personal collection, on display for the first time. Related Resource: Exhibition: "Rosa Parks: In Her Own Words"

Which one do you think you are and will you be smart about it and start to work on it from now on till death won't you start?

Givers, or takers... Which one are you and why? In relationships, there is rarely a perfect balance between giving and receiving. Power dynamics between givers and takers are more common.

Takers are self-focused and put their own interests ahead of others’ needs. They try to gain as much as possible from their interactions while contributing as little as they can in return.

On this day known as giving Tuesday, #CITYIMAGES wants to share some advice with our constant and regular readers.

The old phrase of washing out your mouth with soap may have been a traditional form of physical punishment that consists of placing soap, or a similar cleansing agent, inside a person's mouth so that the person will taste it, inducing what most people consider an unpleasant experience.

Warning For America

Submitted by ub on

Jochen Bittner has issued a dire warning to America: outgoing President Donald Trump’s narrative that he and his supporters had their victory “stolen” from them echoes the post-World War I nationalist rage in Germany that ultimately brought about the rise of Nazism.

"Mr. Trump’s baseless accusations about electoral fraud could do serious harm," writes @JochenBittner "A myth of betrayal and injustice is well underway."

The Nightmare Is Over

No, not that one. We still have to wait until December 14, or January 20 depending on whether you're a pessimist or an optimist.

We’re referring to the weather. The 2020 Atlantic hurricane season ends today. The season broke plenty of records including the most named storms in a season and the most U.S. continental landfalls by a named storm. The disastrously devastating Hurricane Season, not to be confused with the other one which will have lasted four long and degrading years of hate and fear, which is so near that we wish it were already here.
