City Island is a small nautical community in The Bronx, which has a New England-type culture that makes it appear much different from other parts of New York City.

A native City Islander is a “Clam digger” . A non-native City Islander is a “Mussel sucker.”

We would like to thank all of those who took time to offer their nominations to:

City Island Images PO Box 147 City Island NY, 10464

This year's winners are Ed Sadler, along with Bob Branizza. Both of these fine gentlemen were long time City Island residents, distinguished patriarchs and proud City Island property owners.

City Island Images is delighted to bestow this acknowledgement posthumously to these City Island gentlemen. The awards will be sent to their surviving children, who have already been notified.
