MinneaPolice Brutality

Although the names, circumstances, and locations may change, the color is always black. As public protests continue to grow in Minneapolis and elsewhere in the wake of the death of George Floyd there are increasing calls for a federal investigation and criminal charges against all four police officers implicated in the violent arrest that led to Floyd’s death. Anger is justified, but riots and looting are never acceptable.

Minneapolis police reportedly rendered 44 people unconscious with neck restraints in five years. Some police experts say that number is unusually high. "By using this tactic, it's a self-fulfilling tragedy,"

The four cops are fired in Minneapolis after locals called it the execution of an unarmed black man. The outrage began when a video surfaced showing a white police officer kneeling on the neck of George Floyd and ignoring his pleas for help until first responders put him a stretcher and ultimately declared him DOA.

The case brings back recent #USA deaths, including Eric Garner, who died while a white cop restrained him, ignoring pleas of "I can't breathe."

The attorney for Floyd's family is calling for their arrests. The officers have yet to be officially identified. However, images indicate D Chauvin with his knee pressed into Floyd's neck while the man repeatedly says he can't breathe and at one point crying out for his mother and saying "everything hurts."
