This annual event runs from September 24th thru 29th and it is billed as the largest family reunion in the US. It includes a parade and an amazing street fair, which has been celebrated in Dekalb County, Indiana for 81 years.

The DeKalb County Free Fall Fair is held in Auburn, Indiana, a charming city just north of neighboring Fort Wayne. The festival successfully ran all week, ending Saturday with an interesting parade and an jammed packed American Idol concert.

Approximately 150 thousand visitors enjoyed the festivities, with animal exhibits, contests, live performances, plenty of food, rides, and much more. These fair goers appeared to be having a fantastic time.

City Island Images will be providing additional photos and interviews with interesting individuals who have fascinating last names, as well as additional information and surprising facts throughout the coming week as we celebrate this delightfully American national treasure.

America’s Family Reunion was a week of carnival rides, entertainment, food, a petting zoo and assorted fun activities in downtown Auburn. All these events were free, including concerts on the main stage from Wednesday evening through Saturday night.
