He was the father of America's Top Forty and also the voice of Shaggy on Scooby Doo. Casey Kasem, the resonant DJ of Top 40 radio and a vocal fixture on cartoon programs for the past 40 years, has died at age 82 on Fathers Day.

A serious family feud had taken it's toll over the radio host who crafted a lucrative career out of counting down to No. 1, as his last weeks poisoned by a nasty fight as his health worsened as a result of dementia.

CK reportedly lived out out the final days of his life by listening to the best days ... his family has been playing old recordings of his "American Top 40" countdown.
