One of the only positives for this European nation is FIFA World Cup games. This tiny nation is experiencing a serious political debate about its future, with a separatist movement gaining strength.

Belgium is caught in a standoff without a major party capable of forming a government. Unfortunately, an age-old split between two distinct regions speaking different languages is flaring up once again.

Belgium comprises Flemish-speaking Flanders and French-speaking Wallonia, and their differences have been a theme for generations, coming to a head recently amid calls for Flemish independence.

Belgium plays Argentina next and the game is scheduled for July 5th.
