International Jazz Day

If you have not taken time to groove by celebrating America's musical creativity on International Jazz Day then do it now and today? When my father turned me on to all that jazz and I loved it because #Jazz has no boundaries or borders.

It is a universal language of equality and peace. So, to Happy #JazzDay! http://on.unesco.org/IntJazzDay 🎷🎶

This exceptionally American form of music is now celebrated each year on International Jazz Day. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization #UNESCO created the holiday to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe.

They say that Jazz music was born in the African-American communities of New Orleans #USA, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and developed from roots in blues and ragtime. Jazz is seen by many as "America's classical music"
