A-Rod may think he got off easy with his hand written apology, but by not facing his fans and the press, some are wondering why is he hiding?

Should he have showed up because of the initial level of press coverage he received when claiming his innocence and now may have admitted his guilt? However others considered proper to do so in writing.
Would the public have appreciated a press conference? Alex Rodriguez could have shown his face and apologized, like a man, facing his fans.
