Special free Programs in September 2014

Monday, Sept 1, Labor Day Commemoration
Open regular hours, 9 AM to 5 PM, with tours throughout the day recalling the various and shifting occupations over the centuries of men and women interred in the historic cemetery. There’s also a 1 PM presentation in the museum about the history of Labor Day. Tours of the Church bell tower offered.

Th., Sept. 4, First Thursdays at St. Paul’s, open from 1 to 9 PM
An early evening tour of the historic cemetery at 6 PM, followed by a 7 PM performance of music for acoustic jazz guitar with Sheryl Bailey, accompanied by bass.

Sat., Sept. 13, open from Noon to 4 PM
Mary Todd Lincoln
At 1 PM, Professor Jean H. Baker of Goucher College explores the life and times of Mary Todd Lincoln, wife of President Abraham Lincoln, and one of our nation’s most puzzling first ladies. Professor Baker is author of the widely acclaimed Mary Todd Lincoln: A Biography.
