The weather outside is frightful as Republicans in the House are spiteful, revengeful, vindictive and desire to inflict a malicious desire for their petty revenge.

Prepare for the GOP circus to continue. Last week’s US House Judiciary Committee Hearing was extremely tedious thanks to Republicans trying to drag the evening session into the wee hours when, no one would be watching.

Today’s Rules Committee session aimed at preparing the articles for floor action Is a powerful committee’s discussions which are usually private, while the potential for Kabuki theater posturing by Republicans may be even higher, since delaying things is about the only play the House GOP has left before the final vote.

The House Rules Committee debates the rules on whether to impeach President Donald Trump, before a vote by the full House. The question Is how long debate will last and if amendments will be allowed.

However, because Democrats outnumber Republicans on the panel 9 to 4, proposals by Republicans are unlikely to succeed. The floor debate is expected to begin Wednesday. The Judiciary Committee has recommended two articles of impeachment against Trump on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. There are allegations of 5 felonies connected to his conduct in Ukraine.

Rules Chair Jim McGovern, D-Mass. wants to wrap up with a vote before Thursday.
