USA SAYS NO ASYLUM

Submitted by ub on

In over a half year period, the US Border Patrol has caught nearly 50 thousand minors crossing t alone from Mexico, with most entering into Texas' Rio Grande Valley.

About three-fourths of them are from Honduras, Guatemala or El Salvador. This alarming amount of minors has multiplied times ten compared to years past.

While these kids from Central America continue to cross our nation's southwest border, US government officials have finally responded by increasing immigration judges and attorneys to speed up the deportation of undocumented immigrants. The administration is also sending millions to these countries to facilitate these deported immigrants and keep them at home.

Meanwhile, the local media in these countries is beginning to send the message that illegal immigrants are not welcome here. Newspaper headlines are waring locals that "The U.S. Wont Offer Asylum"

Some of these young people come from gang-infested neighborhoods and they lack the knowledge and understanding of basic U.S. Immigration laws and procedures.

Some say the real solution may come when Congress finally revamps US immigration laws, which is stalled in the Republican-led House of Representatives.
