The Department of Parks & Recreation will conduct an aerial survey weather permitting of the deer population over various parks in The Bronx TONIGHT, 2/7 and Sat, 2/8 at 6 PM, including Pelham Bay, Van Cortlandt, Riverdale, Bronx River and others.

The survey will consist of one single-engine aircraft utilizing an infrared camera to measure the temperature difference between the deer and the surrounding environment. The aircraft will originate from and return to Linden Airport (NJ), and will conduct the survey at an altitude of approximately 1,000 feet, traveling from the eastern portion of the borough westbound.

In the event of inclement weather, the survey may be conducted on Sun, 2/9 and/or Mon 2/10.
