From Woodstock to IPhones

Submitted by ub on

50 years after Woodstock Americans living in #USA have evolved from the We and Us to the I and Me generation. Is this an egotistic trip of whiners? From weed stoned to clinging on the iPhone.

Whatever happened to flower power? Fifty years after 400K young people gathered together at Max Yasgur's farm in Bethel, New York, for the now-infamous Woodstock Music and Arts Festival, have Americans lost their way as the leaders of the free world?

The historic Aquarian Exposition that culminated with 3 Days of Peace & Music became a mud-soaked mess thanks to heavy rains, abundant drugs, and overflowing toilets.

However, Woodstock produced fantastic music, immortalized by recordings of film and audio which placed the power of the people known as a 1960s counterculture of peace and love.

Will, there ever be the same, for better or worse and to death do us part? How did we and us evolve into I and me?
